Welcome to The Bargain Watcher! This publication began in 1992 when as a young mom I discovered the wonderful world of seasonal children's consignment sales. I soon began compiling a master list of my favorite sales in the Atlanta area to share with friends. They in turn shared the list with others, and in no time I was receiving requests for copies from all over Georgia! The sale listing grew as shoppers and sellers began making me aware of other sales. In 1998, my husband introduced me to the Internet, and I began posting the sales on our family web page. To my knowledge this consignment sale website was the first of its kind on the world wide web, and it remains a trusted and reliable standard today. The Bargain Watcher site underwent a renovation in the fall of 2007 and now has an updated look, expanded features and user-friendly capabilities.

The Bargain Watcher got its name from that famous Biblical passage in Proverbs 31 regarding the virtuous woman. It was my prayer that the publication would be a blessing to others, and I continue to give the Lord Jesus Christ all the praise and glory regarding the growth and ministry of this website.

Over 100 sales in the metro-Atlanta area are listed each season as well as many more children’s consignment sales throughout the country. My goal is to help parents, grandparents and other caretakers of children everywhere become aware of the wonderful resource available to them through children’s clothing, toy and equipment consignment sales.

For those who can’t get enough bargains, the site features Consignment Store ads as well as Neighborhood-Wide Garage Sales and related Community Events. I've even added a "Watch List" for those hard-to-find items folks often contact me about. The site also offers users a personal login and the capability to save their favorite sales for future reference. Sale organizers can now post and pay for their sales online - an option that has long been requested! I hope these features will enhance the usefulness of this website and be enjoyed by Bargain Watchers everywhere.
